Head to the following locations to watch dazzling fireworks displays from midnight on Tet Eve, February 15.

High and low-altitude fireworks displays will be held from midnight on Tet Eve (February 15) in the center of major cities from the north to the south.


There are 31 places in the capital where fireworks can be watched, including at many lakes. High-altitude fireworks displays will be held at nine locations: Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Khanh Lake, Hoang Cau Lake, Thong Nhat Park, Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, Van Quan Lake, Thanh Tich Park (at My Dinh National Stadium), Harmony Lake (at Vinhomes Riverside), and Son Tay Ancient Citadel.

Low-altitude fireworks can be seen at 22 other inner and outlying districts and towns, with the exact locations being decided by local authorities.

Ha Giang

Vietnam’s northernmost province will display fireworks at Ha Giang city and major mountainous districts such as Xin Man, Meo Vac, Dong Van, Yen Minh, Hoang Su Phi, and Vi Xuyen.

Lao Cai

The home of famed Sapa town and its beautiful terraced rice fields and rich ethnic culture will have firework shows at Dinh Le Street in the center of Lao Cai city and in mountainous areas such as Sapa, Bac Ha, Bao Yen, and Muong Khuong.

Quang Ninh

The home of Ha Long Bay will host fireworks displays at 30/10 Square (Ha Long city), Cong Vien Park (Uong Bi city), the outdoor theatre in Cam Trung Ward (Cam Pha city), the Li Lai International Hotel (Mong Cai city), Dong Trieu Stadium (Dong Trieu town), Quang Ha Bridge (Hai Ha district), the Thong Nhat Urban Area in Cai Rong town (Van Don district), and Tien Yen Town (Tien Yen district).

Thua Thien Hue

Fireworks displays will be organized at three locations: Ngo Mon Square, Nam Dong district, and the Languna Eco-Tourism Complex in Phu Loc district.

Da Nang

Fireworks displays will be held on the Han River, where the city’s international fireworks festival has been organized since 2008. Other locations include Nguyen Van Troi Bridge, straddling the three districts of Hai Chau, Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son, and the administrative centers of Lien Chieu district and Hoa Vang district on the outskirts of the city.

Hoi An

Low-altitude fireworks can be seen at the An Hoi Sculpture Garden in Minh An ward. There will also be music performance and folk games at the garden on Tet Eve.

Khanh Hoa

Khanh Hoa will hold fireworks displays at seven locations: 2/4 Square in Nha Trang, the complex of Hue architecture-style houses on Chong Island, and Cam Ranh, Ninh Hoa, Cam Lam, Van Ninh, and Dien Khanh.

Da Lat

This year’s fireworks show is scheduled to take place at two locations: Yersin Park and Xuan Huong Lake.

Binh Thuan

Fireworks can be seen at Le Hong Phong Bridge in Phan Thiet city, the Children’s House at La Gi town, the Center for Vocational Education in Phan Ri Cua town, Lam Hoa Primary School in Ma Lam town, and along Vo Nguyen Giap Street in Phan Thiet city.

Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City will hold fireworks displays at six locations, with high-altitude fireworks near the tunnel under the Saigon River in District 2 and low-altitude displays at Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11), Cu Chi Tunnels (Cu Chi district), Sac Forest Square (Can Gio district), Lang Le - Bau Co Historic Site (Binh Chanh district), and Nga Ba Giong (a memorial area for heroic martyrs in Hoc Mon district).

Can Tho

High altitude fireworks can be seen around Hoa Su Restaurant in Ninh Kieu district, with low-altitude displays at Thot Not ward (Thot Not district), Phong Dien town (Phong Dien district), Thoi Lai town (Thoi Lai district), Co Do town (Co Do district), and Vinh Thanh town (Vinh Thanh district).
